

Consuelo “Chelo” Treviño Cázares, a cherished and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, godmother, aunt and friend entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the age of 86. Chelo was born on September 2, 1925 in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and immigrated to San Antonio, TX in July 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband Alberto “Tommy” T. Cázares Sr., parents Petrita and Gregorio Treviño, and sisters Alicia Gutierrez and Margarita Cázares. She is survived by her sons: Jose and wife Andrea; Fransisco and wife Carol; Alberto Jr. and wife Kristin. Grandchildren: Marcus; Matthew and wife Mandee; Cassandra; Nicholas; Alexandra; Karina; and Bianca. Great granddaughter Dahlia and numerous nieces and nephews. A gifted seamstress, Chelo devoted her life to helping her husband Tommy at his tailor shop, “Cázares Custom Tailors”, formerly located on S. Flores Street. Proud of her 3 sons and their accomplishments, Chelo was the foundation and strength of her family. She will greatly be missed by all her family and friends. A visitation will begin, Monday, January 2, 2012, 9:00 a.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass to be celebrated at San Fernando Cathedral with interment to follow in Fort Sam Houston National CemeteryArrangements under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX.
