Crockett Dusty Rhodes, age 83, formerly of San Antonio, died Monday, May 17, 2004. Dusty served during World War II in the U.S. Marines, fought at Iwo Jima, and received the Purple Heart. He was a Fireman for the Civil Service, and on his days off, he was a barber, specializing in children's first haircuts. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Anna Mildred Rhodes. Survived by daughter, Carole Murphy and her husband, Tom, of Houston, TX; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren
