He was a graduate of Brackenridge High School and Texas A&M, where he earned a degree in Chemical Engineering.
He served overseas during World War II and during the Korean Conflict.
Col. Fritsch was an avid deep sea fisherman in Port Aransas, TX with his boyhood and lifelong friend, Harding Black.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Earle in 1996. Survivors: daughter, Susan and her husband, Bruce Jones; son, CDR Curtis Fritsch III, all of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Bradley Gerrard Jones, Los Angeles, CA, Tisha Anne Jones, Austin, TX, Marissa Marin Jones, Curtis Fritsch IV, and Daniel Edward Fritsch, all of Seattle, WA.
