

His journey began in Littlefield, TX on May 31, 1947 and led him through Corpus Christi, TX, where he attended school and on to graduate from Allen Military Academy in Bryan, TX.
In 1965 Mr. Landrum joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country in Viet Nam in 1966 as a Medic with the Marine Corps. During this tour of duty, he was wounded in action in 1967 and was awarded the "Purple Heart". He separated from the service in New Orleans in 1968 and was honorably discharged from duty in 1969.
After separating from the military, Mr. Landrum later attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and San Antonio College in San Antonio and was a lifetime member of DAV.
His passion for writing poetry and short stories, one of which was published. Curtis was also an avid fisherman and bowler.
Mr. Landrum is survived by his mother, Grace Gerber and stepfather, Loris Gerber of San Antonio, TX; sons, Curtis S. Landrum, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Lawton, OK and Darin Landrum of Corpus Christi, TX; daughter, Angelic M. Landrum of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren and step-brother, Karl Gerber of San Antonio, TX.
Curtis was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family.
