Cynthia Robin Cogan Clark passed away October 6, 2011 in San Antonio,
Texas. She was born on Christmas Day, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Dr. John
E. Cogan and Naomi Robins Cogan. Robin is preceded in death by her loving father, Dr. John E. Cogan,
her paternal grandparents Myles and Ruth Cogan, and her maternal
grandparents Lois and Neal Robins. Robin is survived by her beloved
daughter, Alexandra Jaclyn Clark, her mother Naomi Robins Cogan, her
lifelong friend and former husband John Howard Clark, her extended
family, Muriel Clark, ReeRee and Jay Friedman, Michael Clark, Laura
and Fritz Weiss, Amy and Jeff Tomkins, and her sister Laura Cogan
Singleton, and eleven nieces and nephews.
Robin attended Saint John's School and graduated from Lamar High
School in Houston. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from the
University of New Orleans. Robin was a talented artist and had a passion for design; including
creating custom jewelry, gardening, interior design and flower
arranging. She was past president of Lake Terrace Garden Club in New
Orleans, Louisiana, and she volunteered at the Academy of the Sacred
Heart in New
Orleans. More recently she worked as a real estate professional for
King Realty in San Antonio.
Robin was blessed with a brilliant mind and innate artistic creativity.
Robin will always be remembered for
her flair for the extraordinary in every endeavor she undertook. Her
zeal to create the perfect ambiance for every festive occasion will be
sorely missed by her entire family.
Robin's greatest accomplishment was being a mother and best friend to
her daughter Alexandra. Robin was a loyal mother, daughter and
friend. Her quick wit and vivacious spirit made her light up every
room she entered. Though she is no longer with us physically, Robin's
spirit abides in the hearts and minds of those who knew her and loved
her. This world has lost a sister and a friend who departed way too early,
but who touched countless people not only with her brilliance,
creativity and honesty,
but also with her many expressions of kindness, compassion
and boundless generosity.
There will be a celebration of Robin's life at the home of Ree Ree and
Jay Friedman at 302 Belvidere in San Antonio at 5 pm on Tuesday
October 19th. All of Robin's friends are welcome to come by and share
their memories of Robin.
