Just wanted to say, that Cyd is still missed by many. I have seen her children and it just breaks my heart to know that she is gone and will not enjoy seeing them grow up. They are beautiful and she would be proud, as she always was.

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Cyndi's family. I was an old high school friend of hers and I will miss her deeply. I am currently in Iraq, as a deployed reservist, and I am sorry that I was not able to see her one last time. But I wanted the family to know that news of Cyndi has spread across the world. Cyndi is still making an impact on my life because it she has renewed a much needed inner strength in me, which was being diminished by this war. She has also caused me to reach out to some old friends I have not spoken to in a long while. Thank you, Cyndi. Ronnie

I am in a state of shock and utter sadness. I was just told of Cyndi?s passing and words cannot express my feeling of sorrow. I have known Cyndi since first grade at Little Flower School. We were instant friends. I remember her beautiful straight chestnut hair and her white hair band. We made our First Holy Communion together along with all our friends, Sonya Reyna, Lucia Gonzalez and Amy Head. Sister Victory called us her little people . . . We lost contact for a little bit when she transferred out to public school. We met up again at Thomas Jefferson High School and had a blast, of course. Cyndi had so many friends at Jeff and was so popular. She possessed such a gift of happiness and humor. I have such great and profound memories from our school days. I remember her laugh. She always called me Garza and would scream out my name when I performed with the Roping Team. I could always hear her! The last time I saw Cyndi was at my wedding, my husband told me just last night, he remembered Cyndi come in right when I was coming down the aisle. I saw her later and she gave me a huge hug and she told me she was so happy for me. Old friends from days long gone, but memories so vivid. I am writing this with tear-filled eyes . . . Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez, Joe and Tommy I will never forget Cyndi. I will love her always. P.S. Cyndi, say hi to my Dad for me.

Cyndi was my mentor 15 years ago when I started working at USAA. She embraced me with kindness and took me under her wing, teaching me everything I needed to know. She was always extremely positive and encouraging. I feel blessed and fortunate to have crossed her path and will see her again. To the family, my prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Take comfort that she touch so many lives in a positive way. I'm forever grateful for her leadership and friendship. I will miss her immensely, she is an angel of God.

Cyndi was my best friend at Little Flower Catholic school. She sat next to met when we had our 1st communion and I remember thinking she looked just like an angel with those big brown eyes. We even got in trouble in third grade when we laughed our heads off as we threw wads of wet toilet paper to the ceiling. It was a great time until we got caught and had to get them off. Everyone who met Cyndi fell in love with her. She was a caring,funny sweet wonderful person. Cyndi had a gift for making people feel good about themselves. She had a big heart. We remained very good friends all through our childhood and even as adults when we became wives and mothers. I will miss her imensely. She forever impacted my life and she represents all that is decent and honest in a human being. I am a better person for having known her.

I was shocked to read about Cindi's death. I had the pleasure of meeting her when she married Gabe, my cousin's good friend. They both attended several anniversaries parties I had at my home and I in turn attended her first baby shower. We remained friends during the years and I always made sure to send a Christmas card and give an ocassional call. I remember the last time we talked I thanked her for the family Christmas postcard she sent me. She was a beautiful spirit and knew the Lord was in control of her life. I thank God for allowing our paths to cross and my joy is knowing that our spirits will meet again. Her job here on earth was done and the Lord said "come to me, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest." It was time her time to rest, and God said "well done my daughter." May her beautiful memories always bring a smile to your face and give you peace. My prayers are with you all.

I worked with Cindi about 20 years ago at USAA. We remained very good friends until I retired 1 1/2 years ago.It broke my heart to hear of her passing. She will be missed so much, she was a person who was always smiling. She was so happy and proud of her kids. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I will always remember my darling cousin, Cyn with only the fondest of memories. She was a wonderful person who loved her family. She adored her kids and she leaves a legency with each of them. I will truly miss knowing I can't call her or send her a note to say Hello, but I know in my heart she is in a better place with the Lord. We will always miss her but will keep her in our hearts and will always have the memories.

I knew Cindy at USAA and also rode the USAA van with her when we both lived in Heritage, which was several years ago. Most recently I ran into her at the USAA picnic and my grandson played with her kids. She was a very sweet person and we will miss her. Gods blessings to her family.

I was so shocked to hear about Cyndi's death. We worked together at USAA for 25 years. She was the kindest, sweetest person and was always willing to help others. We went through many happy and sad times together and I remember when she was pregnant and was so excited. I left USAA several years ago, but a friend called me to let me know. Her family and friends will always be in my prayers and I thank her family for sharing her with us. May God give you the peace that the world cannot give.
