Daniel H. Kirby, age 63, of Live Oak, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Mr. Kirby was born in Dallas, Texas to Hollis Leon Kirby and Neva Pearl Hodges Kirby. He graduated from Roosevelt High School.
Mr. Kirby was in the army in the 5th U.S. Army Band and played the clarinet. He married Carolyn Lee Graves on February 9, 1974 and they had one child, a daughter. Later in life he married Sharon L. Walker.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his daughter, Holly L. Chapman; Son in Law, Kyle Peterman; two granddaughters, Courtney and Kayla of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Tommy Hollis Kirby of Decatur, Texas and his twin brother, Dudley S. Kirby of Cibolo, Texas; his niece, Lisa Cason and her husband, Gary Cason and their son Aaron Cason; his nephews, Paul Dudley Kirby, Thomas Joseph Kirby and Michael Anthony Kirby.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
