Daniel was a proud Texan through and through—a loyal San Antonio Spurs fan, Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros fan who never missed a game if he could help it. His love for sports was only matched by his passion for live music and travel. From iconic concert halls to small-town venues, Daniel’s joy for music and adventure took him all over the United States. He especially cherished time spent outdoors, with the Texas coast holding a special place in his heart.
Daniel was a proud supporter and active board member of the Pan American Golf Association (PAGA), where he found both camaraderie and purpose. Daniel connected with young golf players and inspired them to dream bigger, he tirelessly advocated for scholarships to help shape their future. His enthusiasm for the game was about more than a sport—it was about connection, community, and tradition.
Professionally, Daniel served with dedication as the Senior IT Manager at the McNay Art Museum, where he combined his technical expertise with a deep appreciation for the arts. He was respected not only for his knowledge, but for his patience, kindness, and unwavering sense of humor.
Those who knew Daniel will remember his infectious laugh, his bright spirit, and the way he made every gathering just a little more joyful. He had a knack for storytelling, a deep generosity of spirit, and a genuine love for life.
Daniel leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who were lucky enough to know him. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lozano, grandfather Raymond Lozano, grandmother, Lorena Moffit (paternal), grandfather, Frank Bruce & Bessie Jett (maternal). Daniel is survived by his children, Jayson Lozano, Sydney Lozano, and Austin Garza; his grandchildren, Easton Garza and Eliana Garza; the mother of his children Janice Lerma; his mother, Brenda Lozano; his brother, Donald Lozano, and his wife Veronica Lozano and their two children Donald Lozano and Araceli Lozano; as well as numerous extended family members including cousins, and a host of friends.
