Darlene E. Wanke

Darlene Elizabeth (Mangold) Wanke born January 31, 1922 in Castroville, Texas passed away Saturday July 13, 2013 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents John & Pauline (Groff) Mangold, her beloved husband Bill of 67 years and her brother and sisters. She is survived by three children Donald Wanke (Carrie), Bill Wanke Jr. (Florence) and Sandra Wanke Hartman (Bill). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was a member of Louise Schuetze Lodge No. 3, Sons of Hermann for 65 years and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Helotes for 48 years. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Helotes, TX 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 18, 2013 followed at 10:30 A.M. by a Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection with interment at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Helotes, TX. The family extends sincere appreciation to the staffs of Town & Country Manor and Alamo Hospice, Boerne, TX for their love, care and support.
