Butch

I have been blessed by having three men in my life that were father figures to me and  I am thankful that butch touched my life. This man was my go to person on helping me with everything that had to do with cars or doing work around the house. He helped me install the door at my house and even my friend’s house. He opened his house and garage to me and was always willing to help me out when I ran into problems. He saved my life many times with  a simple comment like you might want to put a jack stand before you crawl under there and once I did he would tell me “let her rip tater chip”. He never hesitated to help us out and did more for my family than I could ever put into words. I loved Butch very much and I feel like the world as not as good as it was without him being in it. No words can express my grief but I am thankful that he touched my life.



My 1st concert was with Butch in San Antonio,Brownsville Station and I wanna say Thin Lizzy.I remember the times riding with Butch and Mike down the gravel roads around Marion and east of Schwartz and going to the pool hall in Marion and shooting pool, standing in gravel parking lot across 78 shooting Roman candles at each other.Butch keeping my cigarettes from me until next morning at the bus stop until my parents found out I was smoking.I remember his Datsun pickup with camper on it.He even tried to teach me to play the guitar.I would help him with changing transmissions on his opel fastback when I was driving our Opel station wagon, getting wider tires for both and the push button automatic on the six banger dodge dart he had.All the trips to the junkyard.All the times we would drive to Converse from Circle K to get minnows and drive down to lone Oak and fish.We could walk from lone oak to back behind to circle k.He had a sears 50 motorcycle we would ride down the hill and make a sharp 90  and go down as far as we could and make U-turn and make the 90 back and up the hill.It ran on half power by the way,burnt rings….

One distinct memory I have with Uncle Butch is when I was little. Uncle Butch and Aunt Donna came down to Tyler (I think) on a timeshare/vacation. We met them there and spent time with them. I was 6 i think, which made Darrel 3/4. They were so fun! They played with us, we ate, laughed, had fun. Uncle Butch, on the playground, on the monkey bars, slide, chasing us around, so full of life, both of them; and aunt Donna so lovely and kind! They made me feel loved. 
Just one of those core memories you make when you meet someone. I will cherish it and share it. 
I always thought I'd see him again one day on travels back through Tx. What a true angel on earth and above. Big hugs from cousin Rhea and much, much love. Thinking of you all.

I have so many memories of Uncle Butch grilling and telling stories, and making all of us laugh. He had a huge, kind heart, and he will be very much missed. <3

You were the very best #5 cousin I could have ever asked for. You are leaving us with a empty heart that can never be filled. Butch Love you so much

I was so saddened to hear of Butch's passing.  We were neighbors for 20 years and always enjoyed his sense of humor.  He was a dear friend to my late husband.  After I moved Butch still kept in touch with me on holidays  and birthday.  You are missed, my friend.  Rest in peace.

I remember coming down in the summer time and  spending summers with Uncle Butch and Angie Veronica and Aunt Donna, all the cook outs and just being together, he always making us laugh, just even by texting each other about the Cowboys playing he be right every time, I love you uncle butch, I know dad sure misses you, I don't get it, seems way to soon! I love and miss you no words can explain, I remember all the good advice you gave me and go by it every day!!! Love Sissy

I remember uncle Butch taking pictures of me an Tammy putting a picnic table together he was full of love I will miss him

I remember many different events Butch and I attended together as proud grandparents. I'm very thankful we got to spend Thanksgiving together this year and will miss his sense of humor very much. Rest in peace Butch.

I can't even express anything I feel right now.
It was so unexpected. It wasn't your time. You were waiting until Iliyas graduated. 
I can't accept what me and uncle dale experienced. 
It's not real. You can't leave.
All of us love you so much.
We need you.
