

David is survived by his parents, Sergio and Lilia Barocio, his wife, Erin Barocio, his daughter, McKenna, and his sister, Cristina Barocio.
David was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, MX on January 14th, 1987. On August 8th, 1996, David, his parents and sister moved to San Antonio, TX where they called home. Growing up, David fell in love with music and played the cello during middle school and high-school in the schools orchestra. He taught himself how to play the guitar and at age 14, he was gifted his all time favorite electric guitar that he would play so loudly in his room. By 18 years old, David knew he wanted to join the military.
He graduated from basic training in the United States Navy Battalion #27, December 30th, 2006, went to 3 back to back tours, saw the world, and became an instructor for water safety survival. David served his country proudly and loyally a total of 8 years. On January 23rd, 2018, he married the love of his life, Erin, where they both met in Norfolk Naval Station in the civilian sector.
David was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and working man. David was an exceptional friend and family member. He was extremely loving, caring, multifaceted and determined. David had a distinctive laugh, joy and energy in him that was contagious. His smile would make you smile. David was a protector, and a problem solver, he did not let anything stop him in order to achieve what needed to be done. David always had a passion for learning new things he enjoyed his life close to nature and learning a portion of agriculture. David learned mechanics at a young age, and was fond of fixing his own cars. David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.
