

David A. Caldera, age 82, died peacefully at home on Saturday, July 31, 2021, in San Antonio, TX. David was born on May 10, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas to Eliazar and Dominga (Oliva) Caldera. David was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Robert, and Carlos. He is survived by his wife Dora Caldera, children Roland (Kathryn), Shirley Caldera, brothers, Richard, Jesse, Edward (Esther), Able (Aurora), sisters, Rosa (Luis), Margaret Sanchez, Carmen (Paul), Sandra (Richard), grandchildren Roland D., Ritchie, and Bryan, several great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
David was a Korean War Veteran and so proud of his military days. Always wearing his Korean cap everywhere, he went.
David was the best mechanic you can find. David owned a Gulf, Fina and Arco stations throughout his life.
David also enjoyed spending his time outside with his grill, meat and ribs were what he loved to bar-b-que and watching his San Antonio Spurs, and Raiders football team. He enjoyed working on his yard and it had to be immaculate.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 9th at 5:00 pm at Porter Loring McCullough, followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at San Fernando Cathedral on Tuesday, August 10th at 10:00 am. A private internment will take place at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
