

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and then attended St. Mary's University. David began a career with the Texas Employment Commission and retired as a supervisor in the tax department 35 years later. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but his pride and joy was his ranch in Pleasanton, where he loved raising cattle and visiting with friends. He was a long time member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
David was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ruben.
He is survived by wife, Adelina C. Farias; daughter, Geri Daniels and husband, Steven; son, David Farias and wife Valencia; four grandchildren, Christopher, James, Matthew and Bradley; brothers, Tom and Frank; sisters, Teresa Villanueva and Marydella Barcena and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
