To all those who I have already thanked and to those I may have missed I extend my deepest gratitude. David was probably the most honest and sincere person I have ever met and his sense of humor was what won me over. He was my husband for almost 17 years and I guess, as the saying goes, I took for granted what I had until it was too late. David kept up the good fight and his sense of humor through some rough times and a great deal of pain even into his last minutes. I for one will never forget this about him. He is now breathing easier and assuredly is blessed by GOD. In this time of sorrow it is tremendously uplifting to see how many friends David had and the impact he had on so many lives. I knew and worked with David in the 1970's at Joske's of Texas. Seeing news of his passing brought feelings of both sadness and joy. I prefer to remember David with the joyfulness he showed in life. He was happy to help on any task he was given and always had a great laugh and that remarkable smile you see in his picture. I can't recall him without seeing the joy inside. I lost track of him in later years, but know he continued to share that warmth with all he came in contact with. We'll miss him, but his spirit will live on in the memories of all of who knew him.

I knew David from the Joske's days back in the mid to late 70's. He was my first boss and although I've had many others since that time, I don't believe I've ever had one that could match his sense of caring and interest in those who worked for him. He was genuine in his equal treatment of his coworkers, regardless of their position, be it an upper level executive or a lowly seasonal inventory worker. I'll always remember that smile of his that couldn't be hidden by his moustache! and his laugh which we were graced with on a constant basis. My deepest condolences to David's family for their loss. David's memory lives on in the fondest of memories held by those who he touched.

I knew David in the 60's from N. St. Marys Skating Rink and will never forget the awesome friend he was. I have often wondered about David. David was always popular during Fiesta, since Mr. Ferrell managed a downtown hotel, he would let David and his friends watch the Battle of Flowers Parade from the balcony. We thought we were so cool. My condolences to his family, may God bless you......David was a wonderful person.

David was a kind and warm man that improved every group he was part of. His love of fun and people inspired friendships with literally thousands of individuals. His impeccable character was only exceeded by his compassion for those around him. He could always be counted on to come to the aid of those for whom he cared. I learned a great deal from David and I will miss him.

We would like to send our condolences to Davids family. We both were skaters and good friends with David in the early 70's. Joy was his Dance partner,pairs partner,and they were on a fours team together where they went on to nationals. I would like to extend my condolences to David's family. I knew and taught David skating in the early '70's. He went to nationals during that time and represented his club and himself well. Although I haven't seen him in many years, I still remember the good times and wish him God speed.

David was the kindest, gentlest soul I have ever met. He was fierce in protecting his family and friends and standing up for what is right. But he was humble and unassuming when it came to himself. His family and friends loved him and will miss him greatly. I will miss him greatly. The world is a better place for having had him grace its shores for 57 years.
