David Serenil Garcia

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frederico and Amalia Garcia and Cornelio and Gabriela Serenil and brother, Hector E. Garcia.

David Garcia was born at home to his loving parents, Ysrael and Sara Garcia. He graduated Harlandale High School and began his career as a carpenter. He was the jokester of the family constantly telling stories you could only imagine. He made the simple trip to HEB a story to remember with the adventures he would come across. David adored his grandchildren, they brought so much joy to his life and he made sure to always have their snacks ready to them. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family, making people laugh and trying his luck at scratch off tickets. He loved his family dearly and they will continue to live his legacy through the lessons and humility that he taught them.

He is survived by his parents, Ysrael and Sara Garcia; beloved wife, Vickie Garcia; children, David Ysrael Garcia, Sr. (Anna) and Denise Sanchez (Joshua); grandchildren, Madylin "Maria" Garcia, David Y. Garcia Jr. (Vanesa), Jordyn Jo Sanchez and Lyanna Jo Sanchez; sister, Norma Carreon (Benny) and sister in law, Thelma Garcia.

A visitation for David will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM, with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
