He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 23, 2024.
He graduated from Brackenridge High School, San Antonio,TX.
He worked at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Father Bill Davis and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He also worked at St. Anthony High School building bunk beds and lastly worked at the Grotto for the Oblates. He had many great friends while working there. He became great friends with Mr. Pat Maloney, Lawyer, here in San Antonio and traveled with him. He made many projects for family and friends. David had a great sense of humor always joking with family and friends.
David loved woodwork. He made many projects for family and friends. He loved to play guitar and loved to listen to music, his favorite Gregorian music. He also loved reading the Bible and practically knew it by heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Grijalva Sr., and Anita Grijalva.
He is survived by his brother, Frank (Dolores) Grijalva Jr.; sister, Mary G. (Oscar) Nash; nieces, Anita Nash and Kathleen Flores; nephew, Frank M. Grijalva.
The Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. The Procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of The Resurrection at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1202 S. Zarzamora St., San Antonio, Texas 78207. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237.
