

David was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 7, 1957, but lived his entire life in San Antonio. He was called home to be with the Lord, on July 4, 2016 at the age of 58. David was an exceptional family man and friend. He is survived by his wonderful wife of 21 years, Catherine, loving daughters Natalie McCoy and Esperanza Heather Garza-Danweber (Sean), 3 grandchildren, Emiliano, Octavia, and Americo Danweber; sister Allison Lew (Jeff), cousin Judy Mosselman Phipps (Ray) and daughter Jamie Phipps, numerous lifelong friends , nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Arnold McCoy, father Ramah McCoy, aunt Marion Musselman (Bill), grandparents, Lillian and Joseph Arnold. Visitation begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 13715 Riggs Rd, Helotes, TX, with a Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. that same evening. Funeral mass at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes with Interment following at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian, 11624 Culebra. David was an outstanding basketball player and lettered in football, basketball and baseball at Jefferson High School and was an avid supporter of his daughters and the community. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He served as a Jefferson HS class officer and recently as a committee member in the Helotes Festival Association and in church activities. Aside from community involvement, David was an entrepreneur and formed his owned business, Tree-Men-Dous Tree Trimming, Landscape and Design Company, which has been established for over 20 years.
