David was born in San Antonio, Texas, on November 11, 1946 to John Hinckley Morse, Jr. and Catherine Hoover Morse.
David attended Mount Sacred Heart School for Boys and graduated from San Antonio Academy. He attended Texas Military Institute, and graduated from John Marshall High School. He attended Texas Tech University until his accident. He was the San Antonio high school bull riding champion in 1964. He worked for Southwestern Bell and the law firm of Randy Osherow. He spent many years working for his dear friend, Marion A. Olson, Esq.'s law firm.
He took great pleasure and happiness from many activities: hunting dove and quail, watching college football, and was a big fan of the History Channel.
David was a great friend to and defender of animals and surrounded himself with as many four-footed friends as he could handle.
David's deep abiding faith helped him on a daily basis to overcome his physical limitations. Over the years, David's strength during adversity and sense of humor was an inspiration to dozens of friends, co-workers and family.
Dear "Piggo" will be deeply missed by his boyhood friends.
David is survived by his brother, Jonathan Hoover Morse Marcy of Salt Lake City, nephew Christopher Michael Morse Stacia of Salt Lake City, niece, Tracy Morse Williams Jack of San Antonio, great-nieces, Kate Morse, Josie Williams, Sophia Williams and great-nephew, Christopher Michael Morse, II.
