In his youth, David ran track and played the saxophone in his high school band. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Upon returning home, he began by joining his family’s business, Patino Photography & Party House, where he worked as a photographer. He continued his career in civil service with the 433rd Airlift Wing at Kelly Air Force Base before becoming a business owner himself, successfully operating his company until his retirement.
David was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra—two voices that matched his own love of rhythm, melody, and expression. He often filled the room with song at any moment. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys and carried with him a strong work ethic and natural business instinct. Those who knew him remember his humor, his rhythm, and the calm, easygoing presence he brought to every room. He enjoyed conversation, good music, and the company of family and friends. His warmth and personality never faded, he continued to bring smiles to those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David M. Patino Sr. and Flora Patino, and his brother, Hector Patino Sr.
He is survived by his son, David C. Patino III (Mallory); his brother, Ernest Patino Sr.; his sisters, Rosemary Patino Houle (Tom) and Hope Patino Hildreth; and his grandchildren, Lillianna, Aiden, and Cali Patino. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory with love.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all who cared for David during the past year: Morningside at The Meadows Independent Living, Stone Oak Care Center, Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital, and his devoted caregivers, Angela Mendez and Malaysia Grampton. Your compassion and dedication will always be remembered.
David lived a full and meaningful life built on faith, family, music, and dedication. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
