David is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Irma Rubio. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Gail E. Rubio; a son, David Jordan Rubio and wife Threasia; 2 daughters, Leslie Rubio Elizondo and husband John Michael, and Nicole Rubio Ross and husband Robert Page; 11 grandchildren, Alegre, Ethan, Maximiliano, Diego, Leila, Jordan, Hannah, Tori, April, Josephine, and Samuel; 3 sisters, Edith Vasquez, Aseneth Skeeba, and Sonia Banks; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Kaupert Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews.
