David Blaisdell Thompson, age 54, of San Antonio, Texas; passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 15, 2019. He was born April 26, 1965 in San Antonio, Texas to Frank B. and Mary Ann (Gracey) Thompson. He graduated from Churchill High School in 1983. David then continued his studies in Waco, Texas at TSTI and received his degree in publishing and printing as well as graphic design.
He mostly enjoyed landscaping around the house while both Buster and Bailey (his pups) would watch. David loved attending rock concerts such as Judist Priest or his all time favorite band UFO with his beloved wife Andrea Norwood. Barbecuing with friends and family every other weekend was a must. He always made everyone laugh until you couldn't breath. He lived everyday like it was his last. In his free time he loved learning and playing the guitar for everyone to enjoy. Planning get aways to the beach just to take a breath of fresh air and catch up on life was a monthly thing. His dogs Buster and Bailey were his life. In David's early life he worked for the Dallas morning News as a Press Printer and a graphic designer for over 15 years. Later, he began to work for Sea World as a publisher. Lastly he began working for his own company, DBT optics, which he loved.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank B Thompson; and mother, Mary Ann Gracey.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Andrea Leticia Norwood; son, Dylan Thompson; daughter, Ashley Thompson and her boyfriend, Vance Pletcher; daughter, Carla Amberlee De La Rosa; son-in-law, Hunter Grant Heathcock; baby-dogs, Buster and Baliey; brothers, Jock Cockroft and Jay Cockroft; sisters, Mary Kay Delgado and Barbara Layne, and last but not least his beautiful nephews and nieces.
