Dawn Elizabeth Vaughn

She was born September 23, 1986, in Victoria, Texas to Franklin and Claire Walchar.

Dawn's early years were spent in Las Vegas, Nevada. The family then moved to San Antonio where she graduated from MacArthur High School. Dawn enjoyed expressing her creative side through art, photography, gardening and cooking. Her strong spirituality was exhibited in compassion towards others including animals. She worked at Pape-Dawson Engineering where she met Kevin Vaughn. They were married in Kenedy, Texas in August 2006. They have three children: Kristopher 10, Allison 7 and Colby 5 who reside in San Antonio.

Dawn's greatest joy was her children. "Before you were born I carried you under my heart. From the moment, you arrived in this world until the moment I leave it, I will always carry you in my heart." ~Mandy Harrison

She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Walchar. Dawn is survived by her husband; children; mother, Claire Compton; grandparents, Beryl and Edwin Lamm; sisters, Suzanne Vogt, Tammy Leos, Meredith Campoy and Heather Walchar; brother, Christopher Rainone; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
