Decorrus "Cori" Edward Jones

Cori attended elementary and middle school in Stamford, CT, Roanoke Rapids, NC, and New York City. He graduated from Greenwich High School in Greenwich, CT in 2005. He was a three-sport athlete lettering in football, basketball, and track. After attending Halifax Community College in Roanoke Rapids, NC, Cori served with pride in the United States Navy. He received numerous awards including National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Expeditionary Navy Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Expert Rifleman Medal, Expert Pistol Shot medal, and several more.

At the age of 12, he gave his life to Christ and was baptized at St. John’s Catholic Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC, where he attended regular services with his grandmother and cousins. Cori loved sports and cheered for his beloved Greenwich Cardinals, Duke Blue Devils, and the New England Patriots.

Cori’s most valued role was as a husband, father, brother, uncle, grandson, and son. His loving smile, silly jokes, and kind words made him a friend to everyone that he encountered. His love for his precious daughters and son will endure forever.

Cori was predeceased by his mother, Angela Cooley Shiloh; maternal grandmother, Florine Cooley; aunt, Sandra Jones Robinson, and his cousin/sister, Tashina Robinson.

Cori is survived by his loving wife, Daisy Jones as well as his children, Kevin, Khloe, and Kassia Jones; father and step-mother, Cedric and Suzy Jones of Greenwich, CT; step-mother, Melanie Davis-Jones, Tacoma, WA; mother-in-law, Celeste Miranda of Greenwich, CT; paternal grandparents, Walter L. Jones, Jr. and Roxie Jones of Roanoke Rapids, NC; brothers, Tielor Robinson (Kathleen) of Apex, North Carolina, Kevin Miller (Brittany) of Baton Rouge, LA, Colin Jones of Los Angeles, CA, Cameron Jones of Hoboken, NJ, and Connor Jones of Greenwich, CT; sister, Jasmin Shiloh of Baton Rouge, LA; sister-in-law, Vanessa Miranda (Vanderlei) of Celebration, FL; aunts, Deanna Merced (Luis) of Newport News, VA, Erica Hicks (Tyrone) of Raleigh, NC, Joann Gray of New Orleans, LA, Joyce McKenzie of New Orleans, LA; uncles, Walter L.
