Dee L. Martinez Jr.

Dee Lawrence Martinez Jr. born August 10, 1941 was called home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2011 at the age of 70. After graduating from South San In 1960, he became a successful entrepreneur together with his brothers creating Alamo Dragway of 30 years, M-Co Auto Parts of 41 Years & Stop-N- Wash of 27 years. He was a loving and generous person who cared deeply for his neighborhood patrons. He will be truly missed by all. Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his parents, Dee L. & Mamie Martinez, brother Paul J. Martinez. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Leticia Hernandez Martinez, his children; Dee L. Martinez III M.D., Yvette Martinez, mark Martinez, Flora Gonzales (Jason), Grandchildren; Ariana Plaster, Brandon Plaster, Lauren Cobler, Lucas Gonzales, Great grandchild Alexa Cobler, brothers; Arnold Martinez (Debbie), Marvin Martinez (Janie), Johnny Martinez (Mindy), Joseph Martinez and numerous nieces and nephews. Special Thank You to the Staff & Nurses of Vitas Hospice for all their care and support. A visitation will be begin Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Thursday, September 01, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.
