Delia "Dee" G. Cavazos entered into the loving arms of our Lord on October 5, 2022 at the tender age of 72. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 13, 1949 to Juanita Rodriguez and Miguel M. Gonzales. She was the second youngest of five girls.
Delia was lovingly known as Dee. She was a native San Antonian, growing up in the Westside. She attended Cooper Middle School, later graduating in 1968 from Lanier High School. She worked at the Robert B. Green Hospital as an administrative secretary. She closely worked with medical students entering their residency at the B. Green. Her caring and loving personality showed during work and would grow close relationships with the doctors and staff at the hospital. She worked at the hospital until her retirement in 2013 after 31 years. It was during her retirement that Delia found a second love in life. She would go out on mall trips with friends and family. Delia was an avid shopper and never stopped thinking about her family. She would gladly go to different stores to buy things her family needed or wanted.
Delia will be reunited in heaven with her parents, Juanita and Miguel Gonzales; son, Joshua M. Cavazos; sisters, Beatrice Longines, Juanita Brecce, and Gloria Palacios.
Her memory will forever live in her husband, Max B. Cavazos; children, Keith M. Dorris, Joseph M. Cavazos, and Audrey M. Cavazos; sister, Evangeline Robinson; grandchildren, Eliannah, Jenniffer, Jacob, Josiah, Kharisma, Genevieve, J'lyn, Brianna, Jonathan, Adriana, and Samantha. Nieces, Cindy, and Kathy; nephew Michael; great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, work friends, close friends, and extended family.
Delia was a beautiful person, inside and out. She will be greatly missed.
