

She devoted herself to sharing her love for the Lord, family, cooking, and people. She was a member of Eastside Christian Church in El Paso Texas, Fort Sam Houston Gift Chapel in San Antonio, Texas. and PWOC (Protestant Woman of Christ).
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, LTC James A. Poole, US Army (Ret.); son-in-law, Herve Valles; parents, Alice and Charles Parrish Sr; siblings, Charles Parrish Jr, Bernard Parrish, Shirley Wilcox, Melvin Parrish, Theodore Parrish, Herbert Parrish, Barbara Riddix, Rose Riddix, Ronald Parrish, and Gwen Parrish. She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters: Angela Cooks, Vanessa Poole, Elaina Darby, and Tavia “TJ” Valles; four grandchildren, Michael Darby, Rachel Darby, Joy Cooks and Jay Thurman; two sisters: Veronica Young and Gale Savage, two brothers: Cleveland Parrish and Kevin Parrish; five sisters in law: Audra Parrish, Donna Parrish, Nan Waldon, Carolyn Cousar, and Joanne Poole; two brothers in law: John Alexander Poole and Bennie Cousar and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and lifelong friends.
Services will be held at Porter Loring North 2102 N Loop 1604 E San Antonio, Tx 78232 on
Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
Viewing: 9:30 –11:00
Homecoming Celebration Service: 11:00-12:00
Followed by interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery
