

Delores Golly, age 85 of Fort Worth, TX formerly of San Antonio, TX passed away on Friday, January 26, 2007 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Delores was born in Concordia, MO on April 7, 1921 to John and Lena Wehrs Petering.
After high school, she enrolled in St. Luke's School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO and graduated as a Registered Nurse. Shortly thereafter Delores joined the United States Army Nurse Corps and served in the European theater for 18 months, following the front through France, Belgium and Germany. After the war, she began working in the Emergency Room at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio.
She met her husband, Edward and resided in San Antonio raising her family and working as a nurse for the next 60 years.
Delores was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Edward, two brothers Monroe and Allen Petering, and two sisters Alice Jarvis and Ora Dillon.
She is survived by her son John M. Golly and wife Mary of St. Augustine, FL and her daughter Glenda Golly Kupferle and husband Nick of Fort Worth, TX. Also surviving are her grandchildren Kristina Glaser and Jeffrey Golly of San Antonio and Nicholas and Christopher Kupferle of Fort Worth, great-grandson Garrett Casteleyn of San Antonio, and first-cousin Lee Wehrs of Concordia, MO.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2007, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Francis Episcopal Church, 4242 Bluemel Road, San Antonio, TX. Interment will be at Baptist Church Cemetery in Concordia, MO.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Delores' memory to Harris Methodist Hospital Foundation for Richardson 6th Floor Nursing Staff, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104 or to a charity of one's choice.
