Delton H. Dauer

Delton H. Dauer was called by our Lord at the age of 86. He was born July 26, 1921 in Clear Springs, Texas and passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in San Antonio. Delton will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. An active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for 50 years, he held numerous offices. In 1983 he retired from Lone Star Brewery after a career of 36 years. Speaking three languages, he was a great storyteller with a phenomenal memory. His favorite pastime was being outdoors, working with his hands repairing lawnmowers, cars and tractors.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lola; sons, Cecil and his wife Dru, Ron and his wife, Joey, daughter, Arlene and her husband Ed, grandchildren: Michael and his wife, Emily, Terri Dauer, Jeffrey and his wife, Krisha, Jason Belz, Lauren and Tyler Dauer, great grandchildren: Jake and Wyatt Belz, Molly Dauer.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 2nd from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring.

The funeral service will be Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3118 S. New Braunfels Ave., San Antonio, Texas. A reception at the church hall will follow the service with interment at Warncke Family Cemetery in New Berlin, Texas.
