Denise Isabel Garcia-Sanchez

January 20, 1990 – June 30, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Denise I. Garcia-Sanchez, who left this world on June 30, 2025, in Schertz, Texas, at the age of 35. Born on January 20, 1990, in San Antonio, Texas, Denise brought light, laughter, and unapologetic authenticity into the lives of everyone who knew her.

Denise was the beloved wife of her high school sweetheart, Brian Julius Sanchez, and the devoted mother of Ayden Rene Sanchez and Brielle Paige Sanchez, the center of her world. She was the cherished daughter of Diane Magallanez and the late Marcos Xavier Garcia, and a loving sister to Mark Anthony Garcia and Marissa Eliza Garcia.

She is also survived by her grandparents Robert and Isabel Magallanez; her uncles Daniel (Leigh-Anne) Magallanez and James (Jennifer) Magallanez; her aunt Monica (Waleed) Khan; her in laws Julio Sanchez, Edith Antonio, sister in laws Stephanie and Samantha Sanchez and numerous great aunts/uncles, cousins and close friends who will always carry her memory in their hearts.

Denise was a vibrant soul—independent, fun-loving, and fiercely herself. She embraced life with boldness and heart, never afraid to be exactly who she was. She found joy in journaling her thoughts, belting out her favorite karaoke songs, perfecting her makeup skills, and doing “ratchet things” with her closest friends. Her greatest passion, however, was her family—especially Brian, Ayden, and Brielle, for whom her love was endless.

She was preceded in death by her father Marcos Xavier Garcia, her grandparents Orlando and Minerva Garcia, and her great-grandparents Perfecto and Katarina Mendez.

Though her time with us was far too short, Denise lived every moment to the fullest. Her spirit, laughter, and love will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. She will be missed deeply and remembered always.

A celebration of life will be held on July 12, 2025 from 5:00pm-8:30pm at Sunset Funeral Home, Mausoleum II Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. If you are unable to attend, join us via livestream. The livestream link is listed under the services.
