

Troy Edward Marek-"Bubba" to his family and "Fluff" to his law enforcement family was born on September 19, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas to Edward and Bonnie Marek. He went to the Lord on January 10, 2012.
Troy graduated from Boerne High School and began his career with Kendall County EMS while still in high school He went on to work for the Kendall County Sheriff's office, the New Braunfels Fire Department, Alamo Heights Fire Department, The Bexar County Constables Office and joined the San Antonio Police department where he worked in patrol, bike patrol, vice and homicide and retired as a senior detective in October of 2011, after a total of 27 years in law enforcement.
Troy is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Westbrook; his grandparents, Sgt. Jack Westbrook (SAPD) and Connie Westbrook, and Edward J. and Isabel Marek (Nana and Papa); aunt, Coleen Westbrook Bass; and his beloved dogs, Shiloh, Czar, Czech and Brownie.
He is survived by his father and step mother, Edward and Brenda Marek; brother, Jack Marek; stepbrothers, Michael and Mark Finch; stepsister, Michelle Cruz; aunt and uncle Patricia and Craig Mecke and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
