She loved spending time with her family and especially cherished the time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Cortez and Dolores Salas.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Juan L. Garza; daughter Chantel Garza, Nicole and Doug Landrum; son, David and Rachel Prouty; grandchildren, Carson Prouty, Landon Prouty, Wiley Landrum and Denley Landrum; brother, Enrique Cortez and Teresa; sisters, Estella Castoreno and Ray, Isabel Morales and Jessie, Dolores Montana and Ramiro and Evangelina Chairez and Jorge; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
