Dick R. Markwell Lt.Col. US Army, RET. age 82 of San Antonio, died on Sunday, July 29, 2007. He received his BS from Wichita State University and his MS and PhD from the University of Wisconsin. He served with the US Marines in WWII and the US Army in Korea, Vietnam and Europe.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Ann Gass Markwell and is survived by his wife, Marjorie Melville Markwell; sons: Steven Richard Markwell; Scot Lawrence Markwell and wife, Mary Ann; and Eric Robert Markwell and wife, Patricia; daughter, Cheryl Fern Foegelle and husband, Peter; grandchildren: Jason Zachary Markwell, Katherine Ann Foegelle, Shelby Thomas Foegelle and Clair Ann Markwell.
