She was born in Topeka, Kansas on November 6, 1928. In 1947 she married Eugenio Lujan. Together they completed thirty years in the Army finally settling in San Antonio, Texas. A talented seamstress, she enjoyed making colorful clowns all by hand and all unique.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugenio Lujan. Survivors include her daughter, Yolanda Leal; sons, Manuel and Ruben of San Antonio and Eugenio A. of San Diego, California. She has many family members living in Topeka, Kansas. A grandmother, she has ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
