Dominga S Alvarado

Dominga was born in Cuero, TX, on February 8, 1931, to Gabriela Hernandez and Manuel Saenz. She married Porfirio Alvarado on June 20.1960. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriela Hernandez, and Manuel Saenz; her stepfather, Baltazar Hernandez; and her siblings, Rudy Saenz, Manuel Saenz, Antonio Martinez, Beatrice Ramirez, and Diamantina Fonseca. Dominga is survived by her daughter, Amalia Cottingham; her sons, Gabriel Alvarado (wife Lisa) and David Alvarado; and her grandchildren, Ryan Phipps, Christa Lewis, Katie Beaton, Aaron Alvarado, Ashley Alvarado, Kirsten Duff Tabile(husband Michael),Michelle Duff-Kitchen, Lauren Taft (husband Andrew G Taft) Lance Alvarado, and Christopher Lee. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be 6pm to 9pm Wednesday 29 April 2026 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Austin Hwy. in San Antonio, Tx.

Visitation will begin at 1130-1155am and Funeral Services will be held at 12pm, on Thursday the 30 April 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Windcrest. Burial will follow at The Fort Sam Houston Cemetery at 130pm shelter no. 3
