Donald "Justin" Blankenship tragically left this life to be with God on Thursday, 19 November 2015. Justin was a kind, gentle person with a sense of humor, a zest for life, and above all he loved his family. He was born in West Palm Beach, FL, 15 March 1954 to Donald and Beverly Blankenship.
Justin enlisted in the Air Force as a computer specialist in 1975, where he met Sirie, his soulmate for the last 39 years. Together they had two wonderful sons who have grown to be marvelous men both thriving in the IT industry. Timothy is a computer programmer and Jeffrey is an IT Consultant. He was so proud of his boys along with their loving, caring wives: Veronica and Tracey.
After the Air Force, Justin continued his career in the IT industry as an IT VP with West TeleServices before becoming the IT VP at Carenet Healthcare Services. Justin received both his bachelor's degree and MBA in Information Technology from Capella University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Words from Justin's peers and co-workers; he was truly an amazing person, always kind, supportive, and never pretentious in his caring for everyone….my Mr. Congeniality.
His grandsons Jackson, Eli, and Xavier were the love of his life. Justin loved to play with his grandsons, taught them to swim, and the zoo belonged to him and the boys. Jackson explained that grandpa was now with God to Eli and Eli asked "who will play with us while grandma fixes dinner and grandma doesn't know how to work the remote control." Baby Xavier within the last month said "grandpa" which made Justin cry with love, and someday he will understand why his grandpa was such a wonderful person. The six chickens, his garden, and Mr. Louie, our grayed chocolate lab, were his joyful chores in life.
