He was born on January 18, 1919 to Samuel R. House and Alma Louise Pratt House in Cleveland Ohio.
Donald was a former resident of Charles City, Iowa. He loved the arts, enjoyed painting and playing the piano.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; son-in-law, James M. Stoffer, Jr. and granddaughter-in-law, Heidi Stoffer.
He is survived by daughter, Diane Hanrahan and husband, Mark; son, Dan House; grandchildren, Megan Stoffer Walker and husband, Justin and James M. Stoffer, III.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City, Iowa.
