Two days ago, I was looking at a facebook site for Robert E. Lee High School. In the *Memorials* section, I noticed Donna's name. I slumped in shock. This was a most beautiful, elegant, and classy lady. She was beautiful from the inside, out. The rarest kind of beauty. The last time I saw Dona was at a 1980 school reunion, and she had not changed a bit. True and enduring character. I doubt whether the distance of these three years since her passing have much ameliorated the loss felt by her family and friends. But, I do know that each of her family, especially her son, have one of God's own angels now perched on their shoulder, to provide guidance, peace, and grace. Warmest condolences, A Classmate

I really liked Donna. I'm very sorry to hear about her passing. I remember her as such a cool person, and very creative and fun. I'm sorry for all her family.

Donna was a beautiful, talented and wonderful friend. We had quite a group from junior high through high school. I remember many nights at Donna's with the girls as she created some spectacular outfit on her sewing board. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and memories of Donna will always be in my heart.

I was so sorry to learn of Donna's passing. I had no idea that she had been ill. Donna and I were friends years ago and I was a bridemaid in her wedding. Over the years we had lost touch but I fondly remembered the fun times that we had as "single" women. Donna was a vibrant and fun-loving individual and will be greatly missed. I would very much like to be contacted by a family member, if at all possible. I am very sorry for her family's loss.

Donna was my first college roomate when we were freshmen at SMU; we met in junior high and had such a great time together at Lee. Thank you, Diane, for hosting us gals so many times for lunch at your beautiful home... I have SO many wondeful memories of Donna, my only regret being that we have lost touch over these many years. One of my favorite pictures of us all is at our senior party 1970 at Oak Hills where we girls had on the same outfits, only in different pastel colors...What a great memory---what a great picture---we looked like a beautiful rainbow, and I'm sure the clothing choices were Donna's idea!!! I will always remember her incredible sense of style, her flair for decorating, her fabulous taste in clothes, and her gentle and sweet spirit.

I went to high school with Donna and had lost contact with her after our freshman year in college. Some of the girls got together last June and we had so hoped that Donna would join us. She was not able to, but we talked about how much we loved her. We will miss her at this year's gathering and always. God Bless.

Landon, I can't tell you how much Heather and I loved Donna. Your Mom was a very loving and giving friend. She was such a talented woman, she was not only a great cook but she was such a talented artist. I think we bonded so much when we first met because of our love for our children. Dear Diane, 
I don't know if you remember me or not,but I'm Ben Sonny marek's widow. I remember a Christmas, or was it New Years party at your house many years ago.That was when Ben and Ted worked for Ike. Ted passed away almost 8 yrs ago,and Ben passed away last August. We were so sorry to hear about Ike.Now to lose a daughter at such a young age must be very hard for you. Please know you and all your family will be in my prayers. May the Lord keep Donna next to His side.May He watch over you and keep your throughts of Donna happy ones because she is no longer suffering.
