It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Perido Jones, who passed away on February 26, 2025 at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Donna was born on August 25, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald Ervin Perido and Ima Lea Bell Perido. Donna is survived by son, Christopher Michael Polansky; and daughter, Jennifer Lea Walker (Jason); sister, Cheryl Perido Fisher; grandchildren, Trent Mason Erfurth, and Brody Ryan Walker; and nephew Bryan Rodney Perido (Kimberly).
A passionate lover of family, Donna found her greatest delight & joy by spending time with her grandchildren. Her caring and nurturing nature touched the lives of everyone she met. For over 32 years, Donna served as an Executive Assistant at SFD Enterprises and the Kleberg Family where her dedication, professionalism, and warm spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her career was just one reflection of her incredible work ethic, dependability and commitment.
Her life was full of creativity, laughter, and love. An avid painter and member of Boots and Brushes of San Antonio, she expressed herself through vibrant colors and beautiful works of art and enjoyed her yard and colorful flowers. She cherished the bonds she had with her Bunco group with whom she shared 53 years of fun and camaraderie. Donna, also, eagerly looked forward to the San Antonio Rodeo each year, where she would help support management as well as enjoy the shows and shop for her favorite treasures. A proud Robert E. Lee High School Rebel Rouser - she was one of the first-, Donna enjoyed lifelong friendships with her high school friends and those relationships were always near and dear to her heart.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Heartis Assisted Living and Arden Court Memory Care for the exceptional care and kindness they provided to Donna during her time there. Their dedication and support made a meaningful difference in her life, and we are truly appreciative of the love and respect they showed her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the San Antonio Rodeo (SALE) Foundation or the BIGGS Institute in Donna's name.
