Dora A. Harrison

Dora (Dori) A. Harrison, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, August 26, 2021, in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 30, 1933 to her father Vicente Gonzales, mother Beatrice Villa-Gonzales, and big sister Grace. She was raised in San Antonio with a strong Catholic faith, and she graduated from Providence Catholic school in 1951. Dori was a proud and devoted military wife and mother. She enjoyed traveling and entertaining in her role. Things that brought her joy were cooking and baking, dancing and singing, decorating cakes, painting, babies, loyal dogs, and family gatherings that included all of these things.

Dori, known lovingly as "Nanu" by all the grandchildren, prayed for her loved ones daily and always had a candle burning for those in need. It brings the family peace to know that Dori is reunited in heaven with her sister and best friend, Gracie Tijerina. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn and Darcell; her grandchildren, Summer, Sabrina, Lauren, and Cameron; her nieces and nephew, Lynn-Audrey, Peter, and Christina; and several great-grandchildren and great nephews and nieces.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Dori touched, are invited to the Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78212, from 6:00 p.m- 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 for a viewing and a rosary to follow.
