I just today, May 4, 2022, heard of Dora's death last August.  I worked with her as a tour guide for Star Shuttle.  She graciously shared her knowledge and tips with me about how to perform my job in an easy and professional manner and how to manipulate the AV/computer system.  When I started my one person tour business, I called her several times  to connect and ask if she might want some work from me.  I am so sorry to hear of her death.  I will miss her.  COVID prevented us from working together and the Star Shuttle bus driver/tour guide consolidation ended our seeing each other at work.  It was a joy to know her.

Mrs. Trevino was my teacher at southwest prep when i was 15. She was one of the reasons i graduated. She believed in me, told me i could be anything i wanted and i would be great. I Thought of her often and hadn’t seen her in years until i started working at Sanchez dentistry and she walked in the door and i yelled Mrs. Trevino! I was so happy to see her again and i loved every time we got to catch up when she would come in for a visit. One of the sweetest, kind hearted person i had the joy of knowing. My heart is with her family at this time, may god grant you all peace at this moment of heartache. Thank you Mrs. Trevino for having such a impact on my life 🤍

My deepest condolences to Nick and  the Dora’s family.  Dora was one of the sweetest and loyal friends I have ever known.  She loved with her whole heart and would be there for anyone.  She was my maid of honor and I was her matron of honor on the day she wed( both of August weddings.
    Nick, I know that you stole her heart and made her world complete and she was an extraordinary mother/grandmother/great grandmother/sister and aunt.
   Bocho, a brother who always had her back, know that you occupied a very special place in her heart and she will continue to watch over you and your family from above.
   I have fond memories of our travel adventures.  She will live forever in the memories she left with me.
  I’m so sorry I was unable to make the services as we were in Paris, but you guys were in my thoughts and prayers.

Want to thank Nick for the wonderful the wonderful things you said about my Aunt tonight.  Especially about her teaching you chest and the camero! She taught me chess as well when I was a teenager.  I could also remember her tan 68 or 69 Firebird car.  It fills my heart knowing that my Aunt brought ,you and Sonia, so much love. I met Dora many years ago, my first impression of her was that she was kind, courteous, friendly, gentle and caring.  I introduced her to my bother, Nick, who invited her to a family Easter celebration at our ranch.  I believe he captured her heart that day because they got married shortly after.  Dora was always caring, eager to help in anyway she could, she took her stepchildren to heart and cared for them.  Dora and Nick were a perfect couple, always caring for each other, doing things together, it was a joy to see them together always. We will miss Dora always. 

Tia, I will miss you! I am your mini me, we both look alike especially our curly hair. I want to say to you, thank you for all the good memories when we were little kids. We loved it when you would bring grandma and grandpa over to bring us gifts. We also loved your trans am.  We also loved when you would take us cruising around Fal and Kingsville. I will always remember your smile and laugh. You were always so cheerful but now I know where I picked it up from. May You Rest In Peace! We love you always. Until we meet again!

Thank you Susana and Camille.   I want you to know that your aunt Pique loved all her nieces and nephews very much.  I too called her Pique sometimes.   She did share stories with me about her nieces and nephews.  She was introduced to me as Dora by one of my sisters, and that's how my side of the family knew her.   She did like sports cars.  When I met her, she drove a Camaro, and she lived in her country home in Ricardo, Texas.  She did drive other Camaros  during our life together.  

Thank your for sharing that part of my beautiful Pique's life with us.

Aunt Pique(Dora),
I am in shock at your sudden passing. I talked to you just recently and just recieved a beautiful birthday card from you. You never forgot a birthday! I am so saddened by your loss and feel a deep longing just to have another conversation with you for hours. I miss your smile and spirit. You have been my role model all of my life. A traveler and lover of history and dance. I always wanted to grow up and be you. A sports car lover and a woman who could do anything! I will never stop wanting to be just like you. You encouraged  me to always go for what I want and I always felt so connected to you. I am so proud to be named after you and grandma. This world has truly lost an amazing individual spirit. I know wherever you are they are truly lucky to be graced by you. I love you aunt Pique and I will forever miss you.

My sincere condolences to Nick and family for your profound loss. I didn’t know my aunt as Dora. I only have childhood memories of my Aunt Pique who drove us around in her T-bird, enjoyed photography, took us nieces on trips and had multiple failed baking attempts at pecan sandies with her ever present laugh. I remember her talking to a friend who addressed her as “Dora”. I asked her later why they called her Dora since that was grandma’s name. She giggled and said that Dora was her name too. I asked why she was called Pique. It was a term of endearment for piquitos …piquitos de oro. I’m sure we both giggled and turned up the radio. Rest In Peace Aunt Pique.

Happy Heavenly Birthday , Dora. I know you are dancing with the Angels and Saints and showing them a dance step or two or three! We love and miss you.


Dora my beautiful wife.  Today would have been your birthday, but instead of celebrating with me and our family, you will be celebrating  with the angels.  Next week would have been our wedding anniversary.   You were such a beautiful person, inside and out, and we all love you so much.  You gave us 29 plus beautiful years.  Rest in peace my love. Our sincere condolences to our brother Nick and family on the loss of his beloved Dora. Dora left behind numerous memories of her selfless and heart warming spirit.
