Doris A. Butler Cope, age 90, a lifelong resident of San Antonio, died Wednesday, February 6, 2002. She was born November 5, 1911 to James Roscoe and Eva Evelyn Butler. She was a lifelong member of Baptist Temple, life member of San Antonio Radiant Chapter # 3 Order of the Eastern Star and member of the Daughters of the Nile, Nekodah Temple #44. Her parents; her husband, Fred M. Cope; her son Fred H. Cope; and 2 brothers, John D. and James Travis Butler preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Doris Adalee Varner of Houston, Evelyn W. Moore of San Antonio, and Jocelyn C. Fullerton of Texarkana; grandchildren, Deborah Varner, Roy Varner, Jr., Michael Varner, Christopher Moore, Jonathan Moore, Stephanie Fullerton, and Trey Fullerton; great grandchildren, Grant Varner and Danielle Varner; and sister, Sabra Allen of Spring Branch.
