Doris L. Stanton

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Kulhanek and Bessie Supak Kulhanek, and husband William Stanton. They were married on November 25, 1961.

Doris is survived by her sons, Terence Stanton and wife Mary of San Antonio, Jack Stanton and wife Cheryl of Maple Grove, Minnesota; grandson, Henry Williams; great grandchildren, Madison Williams and Emily Williams; sister, Adeline Ripper (Maynard) of Katy; sister, Shirley Sedlar (Ted) of La Grange; brother, David Kulhanek (Sally) of Frelsburg; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, a great-great niece, and many friends.

She was a devout Catholic and loved to read the Bible. In her early career, she was a nurse in Yoakum and later in Victoria. She enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening and her home in the hill country.

Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M.

The funeral procession will depart Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. mass at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 700 Dewhurst San Antonio, Texas 78213 with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian.
