LaVelna remembers y'all from Farmerville. I remember your family in SanAntonio, where I joined the Church in 1967 while on active duty.  I was baptised by Steve Orton. We adopted our first son, Daniel and had our second son while there.  We remember your family fondly and appreciate your faithfulness in the Church.

I have the fondest memories of Sister Walker, as a new convert in the mid 70s, she was an excellent example of what a Latter Day Saint woman should be and I learned a lot from her.  She was always willing to help and work in the church.  She will be missed.  I know how close Erie and Doris were, may the Lord bless Erie and the family at this time.

The Williams family lived in San Antonio from 1966 to 1983, during which time we were involved in many things with the Walker Family.   Dick served in callings with Sister Walker, as did I.   Our six children all had her as a youth leader at one time or another.  Sister Doris had a unique gift of leadership and was serious about doing things right, making it a pleasure and delight to serve with her.   We often commented that we were ALL learned much from these times.   I particularly had a very special spiritual learning experience with her that still 'serves me well' and keeps her close to my memory----I just returned from San Antonio, and on June 2nd, Maria Coates drove me to see her at the Care Facility---but she had been moved.    I am sorry I didn't get to see her and thank her for the dear soul she was in our lives.    I didn't know Sandra well, but thanks also to you Brother Walker, Erie and Michael.   Our youth and seminary experiences are not to be forgotten.   My thoughts, prayers and love to you all.

Sister Walker was my youth leader as a recent convert to the church, she was at my wedding reception over 30 years ago, she was my Relief Society President over 20 years ago, and always will be my friend, my sister . Love you Sister Walker.

Sister Walker is a wonderful example of Christ like love and life. She was an excellent leader and a great friend. Prayers for Erie and all the family.

I loved Sister Walker dearly.  She was there for me as a friend, and as a visiting teacher.  I loved her practical wisdom and unconditional love.  She supported our family through some of our greatest challenges.  When I think of people who reflect all that is good and noble, I think of her - truly valiant in every way without being preachy.  I will miss her.  At the same time I am so grateful to have known her.  I hope and pray that God will be with her family - especially Brother Walker.  He loves her so much.  May he find peace and comfort.

I'm so sorry to hear of Doris's passing.  I knew her when I was growing up.  I knew her better as an adult working on church assignments. She was a great example to many people.
