Dorothy Marie Buckholdt, age 81, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend entered into eternal rest and went to be with our LORD and Savior on Thursday. Dorothy was born in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Migura) Warzecha. She is known to many as "Dorothy" or "Aunt Dorothy", “Grandma” and "Mom” . Dorothy graduated high school and married Ferdinand "Fred" Charles Buckholdt Jr. at the age of 19. After 11 years as homemaker and mother to her three children , she started working for Alamo National Bank. After 25 years with the bank, she retired and started her own business selling Avon. An avid Elvis lover, Dorothy loved country music, country dancing, loved nature, deer and traveling with family and friends especially to Las Vegas. She loved to sit and play cards and dominoes. Dorothy loved all things family and loved nothing more than to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched and will be remembered for the special love of her husband, Fred. She is survived by her three children and their spouses Charles (Stephanie), Victoria (Julie ) and Anthony (Christine); her six grandchildren Ernie (Roxann), Danny (Megan), Crystal, Matthew, Fredric and Franklin; her three great grandsons Noah, John and Luke; her sister Bernice LeBow, sisters-in-law "Punky" Holbrook, "Jo" Savary, “Trisha” (Harold) Stein, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from noon to 3:00 PM Sunday, May 19 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with a Rosary at 1:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:30 PM, Monday, May 20, at St. Luke Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Drive, San Antonio, TX 78228. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
