

She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 53 years: Don Pollock, sister Lorena Vlieger, and nephew Re Winkler
She is survived by her loving sons: Kevin Pollock (Chrissy) Randy Pollock; grandchildren: Ryan Pollock, Kyle Pollock (Andrea), Josh Pollock (Paulina) Grace Lyles (Tripp), Colton Pollock; great-grandchildren: Hayley Lyles, Brooklyn Lyles, Thomas Lyles, Declan Pollock, Callum Pollock, Sofia Pollock; brother: Larry Vineyard (Lindy); brother in law: Dennis Vlieger; Nephews: James Vineyard (Mona) Carr Vineyard (Meghan) and other family members and friends.
Dorothy began her love story on a band trip with the Abilene High School Band in Colorado. She met Don on that trip, she played the oboe and he played the trumpet. They were married on August 14th, 1959. They moved to San Antonio, TX in 1968. She worked as an Office Manager for Prudential, Bob Cave and Mike Schultz for 35 years. She had a heart for service and joined many clubs. She was an active member of the MacArthur Band Parent’s Club, Secretary of the MacArthur High School PTA, President of the Aggie Moms Club, President of the Friends of Lake McQueeny, President of the Treasure Island HOA just to name a few. She was known to many as the unofficial Mayor of Lake McQueeny. Dorothy was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church of New Braunfels where she was a member of the Bell Choir and served as an Elder and Usher. Dorothy and Don loved going to Aggie Football games. They would provide food and drink for anyone who showed up at their tailgate and she always made pre-game submarine sandwiches for the Aggie Band. She loved hosting parties, as well as attending them. Dorothy loved her family and friends and just spending time with them. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by her family, friends and church community.
