Born in Bronson, Kansas, she worked with the establishment of the Texas State Optometry Board in the 1940's. She was married to Richard George Buddy Towers, Jr. for 49 years. They lived in San Antonio, Zapata, Corpus Christi, and finally on their ranch west of Asherton. They had one son, Richard.
A loving mother and grandmother, she spent her life selflessly caring for her family and friends in any way needed. Her quiet, modest lifestyle influenced every life she touched. She walked on this earth as one of God's true angels.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy; mother, Cora; father, Bert; brother, Jim; and sister, Rachel.
Her son, Richard Towers and his wife, Sandra; granddaughters, Raetta Towers, and Amber Towers Patterson and husband Ryan; special friend and Sandra's mother, Aline Giffin; brothers- and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews survive her.
