She spent many of her early years on the farm with her grandparents having the kind of fun kids do on a farm creating cherished memories she would share for decades.
After high school, Dottie married the tall, handsome soldier she adored, Carlton “Willie” Williams. He was the love of her life until his passing in 1994 after a long battle with heart disease and emphysema. Together, they embraced the adventures of military life—living in different countries, states, and cities—forming lifelong friendships and collecting countless memories along the way.
Their family grew to include two children, Suzie and Bryan “Bear.” Dottie delighted in raising two active, involved teenagers, finding joy in their sports, activities, and milestones. Later, her grandsons became the light of her life, and the happiness only multiplied as great-grandchildren joined the family.
Dottie had a wide range of interests and was always eager to try something new. She and Willie especially loved playing pinochle with their dear friends, bowling, playing softball, sewing, and attending sporting events for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In her later years, card games and dominoes with friends became treasured pastimes—moments filled with laughter and lasting memories.
She enjoyed volunteering and participating in many church events and activities, from serving as an usher coordinator to helping with Vacation Bible School, and much more.
Dottie made a lifetime of beautiful memories—ones she carried with her and then left behind for all who loved her to cherish.
Dottie’s earthly life came to an end on January 25, 2026. As family and friends gather to give thanks for her life, they do so with the assurance that they will one day join her in praising the God who has redeemed us.
