

Dr. Donald Gray Norris, age 88, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, in San Antonio, TX, with his family by his side. He was a man of the highest character and the best husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather we could ask for. The entire family is deeply grateful for his life, his love, and his devotion. Although we will miss him greatly, we know he walks with our Lord and Savior in heaven.
Donald Norris was born on June 18, 1934, to parents, Ancile Gray and Conley R. Norris, in Detroit, Michigan. The family moved to the south side of San Antonio, Texas when Donald was very young. It was here that Donald met a young lady named Loranel while in middle school. Their friendship and relationship blossomed through their time at South San High School and continued while at Trinity College where Loranel was crowned Ms. Fiesta and Donald played basketball. The two newlyweds married on August 18, 1956, in San Antonio. While Donald was a Captain in the Army, he was granted early release to pursue Dentistry. Donald attended The University of Texas Dental School in Houston for his dental degree, graduating in 1962. Dentistry became his passion. He loved helping his patients achieve beautiful smiles. He had a few passions in life. He was married for 67 years, he practiced dentistry for 61 years and played golf for over 40 years.
Dr. Norris is preceded in death by his parents, Conley and Ancile Norris.
He is survived by his wife, Loranel Norris and his children, Donell Creamer (Casey), Lori Atkins (Mickey), and Jeff Norris (Brandi).
Grandchildren, Tiffany Creamer, Christie Boubel (Ryan), Fawn Rodman (George), Samantha Dahlberg (Tony), Kelli Fuller (Rob), Sydney Norris, and Greyson Norris.
Great-grandchildren, Jordan Proscia, Baker Rodman, Brooklyn Boubel, Bradley Boubel, William Rodman, Nora Rodman, and Riley Fuller.
