

She and her late husband, Fidel Vasquez, traveled extensively around the world. Celebrating the diverse cultures they encountered, as well as embracing their hispanic heritage. As a woman of faith, Edith worshiped at Salem Church in Cookeville, TN. Her philanthropic contributions were many.
She is survived by her son Richard Vasquez and his life partner Leo Duguay of Cookeville, TN; Special nephew John Aaron Martinez of San Antonio, TX; two sisters, Aseneth “AR” Rubio Skeeba and Sonia Rubio Banks and husband Jeffery all of San Antonio, TX: brother-in-law Marcelino “Wop” Martinez also of San Antonio, TX, as well as many nieces and nephews. Special friends Charles and Mildred Judd, Margaret and the late David Walker, and Mr. and Mrs. David Judd all of Cookeville, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fidel Vasquez Jr; two infant sons; sister, Irma Rubio; brother, David Rubio Jr.; sister-in-law Janie A Martinez.
The family will receive friends at 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
