Edward Anthony DeVane "Ed", age 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Saturday, March 27th, 2021. Ed was born on August 23, 1944 in Wilmington, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Lillian and 9 siblings.
Ed honorably served 24 years in the United States Air Force. While stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, he met his devoted wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Garza. Ed is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; son, Edward II and wife Ashley; grandchildren, Edward DeVane III and Katharine DeVane; his daughter, Yvette Haby and husband Daryl Haby and their children, Caitlin English, Blake English, Taylor Haby and Kayla Haby.
Ed was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. His witty sense of humor, devotion to his family and all who knew him will always be cherished.
